My Law of Attraction Definitions: Relentless Pursuit and "Hustle".

If there is one aspect of my personal take on the Law of Attraction that is different then most you hear or read about, it's this: I believe you must Hustle aka work. I DO NOT buy that if you believe in The Law of Attraction that you are granted a free pass to life. You can't sit back on the sofa with your feet up and drink a beer waiting for Ed McMahon to ring your door bell announcing that you've won a new life.

The Possibilities of Possibility.

Have you ever felt like you were on the brink of something? Like the brink of falling in love...those butterflies, that hope. The feeling that the world is yours all you need to do is roll outa bed, open the door to discover the rainbow has landed on your welcome mat.

I have felt like that for the past two years. Through the struggles, (and lord knows there have been MANY), and the highs, I haven't been able to shake the feeling that I'm working towards one day opening the door to my rainbow.

In keeping with my belief that Everything Happens For a Reason I had another recent epiphany (love those!).  This time it was about my beautiful little twin girls. They are the loves of my life along with their older brother, but those little princesses are just so unique. I got to thinking about that, about how independent and confident they are. About how freely they express their opinions and show their larger then life personalities. About their endless joy and optimism towards life. About their little princess outlandish ways...they are simply the two most convincingly amazing little creatures I know (no bias whatsoever!).

The Law of Attraction: My Recipe for Success.

1. Gratitude:

• Find something to be grateful for, ANYTHING. Remind yourself every single day, what you have in your life to be thankful for (I know you got something!).
• Being thankful for what you have is the best way to recieve more to be thankful for. 
• Gratitude is the key to happiness and happiness is the key to your success.

 2. Thoughts:

• Kill the negative voices in your head. Kill negativity in all forms in your life, don't dwell on what you don't want, or you will get more of that.
• Positive self talk. Replace those negative thoughts with positive ones. 

Divorce: Can't We All Just Get Along!?

       Why is divorce so damn annoying? I mean seriously. How is it that two people who once were so deeply in love can go from that, to MORTAL enemies? It's so strange to me, honestly. Its crazy because no where else in life are you forced to interact with someone on a regular bases that you simply destine. It's like a bad joke! The tension is ridiculous and it's been three years of separation and two since the divorce was final and still communication is impossible! Cant we all just get along!!?

Law of Attraction: Get out of the Black Hole.

      I get emails and messages from readers every day, who are at the low point I was at a few years ago. They feel lost and hopeless. Nothing seems to be going right in their life, and they have come across my story and it's inspired them at least enough to share with me these thoughts and feelings. I'm so honored and humbled by this, but I also know that it's in it's self The Law of Attraction at work for both of us. For them because this is the defining moment when their search for better has lead them to connect to my story, and for me because telling it and answering your letters reinforces my own strength and faith. It's definitely a 2 way growth relationship, that I'm so grateful for.

For all of you out there who are going through the end of a relationship and feeling, as we often do that we have lost our chance at happiness, that we have pushed away "The One" this is for you. This is in response to a reader who felt that the perfect guy got away and that no other man will come along to take his place. She feels she cant ever open up to love like that again.

    
I sympathize so much with how she feels and I know many of you have felt like this too. You meet a great person you click with them, they seem to have everything you want, they treat you better then you have ever been treated before, therefore they must be "The One" right? ...but it still ends. And when it does your left feeling like the last boat to happy land just left, and your not on it.

       This is the time in your life when it feels like EVERYTHING is falling apart. Where it goes from bad to worse. Where you think "how can this be happening to me!! I'm a good person! I've been being positive! WTF??"

The Yellow Brick Road: Law of Attraction Dream Come True

 I LOVE having breakthroughs and epiphanies. As a general rule I have been trying to teach myself to live in awareness and be mindful of them, so as it turns out I tend to have them with regularity as of late.

The best ones are the kind that makes the little “ding” sound when the light goes on in your head, and you get chills instantly down the back of your spine. The ones you have to take a few minutes to follow the yellow brick road past the freaky, scary forest to find the wizard and wisdom at the end of the rainbow. Those are the Law of Attraction ones that give me goose bumps, and leave one thought in my head: “No Eff-ing way!!” I may of mentioned this a time or two but…everything happens for a reason.

This past week I had one of those realizations, a BIG one! It hit me like a hungry sumo-wrestler. I was driving, milling over in my mind the lunch meeting I had just come out of. It was with the Director of the Oregon Chapter of The American Red Cross.  He had called me to see if I would be interested in being the Motivational Speaker for their annual state staff retreat. This was the first moment I get chills.

Big Picture -Definition

My Law of Attraction Definition of Big Picture:
      Throughout my blog you will hear me refer to focusing on The Big Picture or Your Big Picture dream. This is one of the core concepts in my version of The Law of Attraction, and one of the most important ones to really get your head around to start seeing results.
      In other words when you have a dream or a vision that you want to manifest in your life you need to focus on the end result, and not the specifics or the short term.

This is a literal board (mine is a cork board about 3 feet by 2 feet that I picked up at an office supply store) with pictures of the life you want.

Step 1: Dream.
The key is to take the time to sit down and first write out on paper the dreams for your life. ALL of them, even the big ones you have never told anyone and have been too afraid to dream. Really take the time to imagine your life with no boundaries, or limits (this is very difficult at first and goes against our “rational mind” but it’s the most important step to success). Resist at all costs the urge to be "realistic". Avoid that idea like an infectious disease.

The Law of Attraction: My Definition

So I’ve realized lately that my definition of the Law of Attraction or at least my view of it, is somewhat different than the others you will find larking on the web. If you Google the phrase you will get a ton of sites claiming to give you instant wealth and riches and stating that your dreams will come true in a few days with their “simple formula” and purchase of their amazing e-book or online program. I have a difficult time with these.

However there are some thinkers who I believe are amazing and have helped shape my views and ideas around this topic.  One is Louise Hay the “mother of positive thinking” as Oprah calls her. Her book You can Heal your life is an amazing read for anyone trying to get their mind in the right space and realize the power they have over their life. Another book that impacted me is A New Earth by Ekhart Tolle who helps you realize and become aware of being present in the moment and removing labels form your life, allowing you to find a deeper purpose and meaning.

My Pledge

     This blog started out, and has always been about my personal journey. It began as an anonymous outlet for my feelings, the good, bad and ugly. It's role in my life was the one place I could come to say what I was really feeling and thinking. There was comfort in the fact that I could hide behind no one knowing it was ME who was going through all this. That is not the case anymore (obviously :) ) and though I'm blessed, humbled and honored to be out in the open and have it still accepted, it does threaten to change the dynamic a bit.
     Last night as I sat in the motel parking lot, I thought all I want to do is go home and write, so I can sleep. But the fear that now being that raw and open with bad days might get a negative response came into my mind. I thought long and hard about that, and what I know is this:
